My frustrated friends are probably groaning at the creation of this new journal. In the last week, I have set up two Livejournals, two Flickr accounts, two Tumblrs, one MySpace, one Facebook, one Soup, one Pownce and one Publr. Needless to say I have a dangerously consumptive personality, however, I am feeling much more confident about this medium than I did with the others. WordPress has a lot going for it:
- I was practically using WordPress since before I could walk, so I can do this blindfolded.
- This is where all the cool cats hang out (see Blogroll for examples).
- The themes are gorgeous.
- I can store up to 3GB of content, which is great because I love photography and podcasting.
- I don’t have to manually upgrade WordPress, which is more than I can say for my self-hosted WordPress blogs (pain-in-the-behind).
Although my support for it is unreserved, it cannot be perfect. For one, basic account holders cannot edit their CSS at all, which means chances are, it’ll look suspiciously like I am plagiarising other bloggers just because we are using the same theme.
In any case, do not be frustrated, just make a new folder in your Bookmarks to store all 93 of my websites, but pay particular attention to this one. Good rolemodels are inspiring me to document my magical practice and I’m aspiring to make this journal overflow with knowledge, thoughts and experiences.
